Saugus Iron Works PBU

Results from the Saugus Iron Works project were highlighted in the Dec/2006, Jan/2007 edition of Educational Leadership in a section devoted to Shapshots of Science in Practice pp 52-53. Ed. Leadership is published by the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). The article discusses the development of the SIW unit, its implementation, and the positive impact on student learning as measured by the state's standardized science exam. The authors were Cynthia Fiducia, Elizabeth Keroack, and Robert Simpson. ASCD members can access the article online or in print. Only the abstract is available through the online edition of Ed.
